A Matter of Skin Opening Reception

    • Saturday, April 22, 6-8pm
    • Kennedy Heights Arts Center

Join us for the Opening Reception of A Matter of Skin on Saturday, April 22 from 6 to 8pm.

Skin is merely an organ of the body, yet no other organ has been so emotionally and politically charged throughout time, or caused such divisiveness throughout the globe. This exhibition explores an array of thought provoking questions on the matter of skin and the social significance of the skin you’re in.

The concept for the show was originated by artists Carole Gary Staples and Billie Cunningham, and is curated by Jymi Bolden.

Featuring work in all media by: Leslie Alexandria, Khonisa Anderson, Billie Cunningham, Gwen Davis, Stacey Dolen, Angela Franklin, Tina Gutierrez, Robin Lynn Harris, Robin Hartmann, Kevin Kelly, Estelle Laibson, Frances Newberry, Gina Pagani, Cookie Keeling Patterson, Jessie Rienerth, Brad Smith, Carole Gary Staples, Milan Staples, Ned Stern, Maxine Thomas and Mariah Von Luehrte.

Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10am to 5pm and Saturday, 11am to 4pm.
