In the spirit of the season, a neighborhood celebration is here to light up your holidays! The communities of Kennedy Heights and Pleasant Ridge will be hosting the 14th annual Winterfest on Friday, December 7th, and all are invited.
Winterfest is packed with fun, festive and FREE activities for all ages. Come meet your neighbors and share in the seasonal cheer!
6:00 – 8:00 pm: The festivities begin at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center, located at 6546 Montgomery Road, with an outdoor tree lighting, s’mores around a campfire, kids crafty ornament making, and performances by local choirs. Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and coffee while you view the Annual Kennedy Collective art exhibition “Emerge,” and browse our Holiday Art Market to pick up unique gifts created by local artists! Tree lighting will be at 6:30pm.
7:00 – 9:00 pm: The family friendly party moves over to KHAC’s Lindner Annex at the corner of Kennedy and Montgomery.
On display in the annex gallery will be an international art exhibit with works of art created by students in Cincinnati and in our sister city, Kharkiv, Ukraine. The theme is Winter Holidays seen through the eyes of students from the Municipal Art School in Kharkiv and from Mercy Montessori, Nativity and Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati. Join us for a brief presentation and student artist recognition at 7:15pm.
Then enjoy live music by Todd Hepburn, a holiday photo scene, artist demonstrations, savory and sweet dishes made by community members, a cash bar, and other fun activities.
Winterfest is sponsored by:
Kennedy Heights Community Council, Pleasant Ridge Community Council, and Kennedy Heights Arts Center.
