History
The Kennedy Heights Arts Center is housed in the 132-year-old former home of Lewis Kennedy, who designed and built it. Kennedy later served as mayor of Kennedy Heights before the area was annexed by Cincinnati.

In 2003, developers had threatened to bulldoze the 21-room historic landmark at 6546 Montgomery Road for a storage facility.
The gothic-style, wood-frame building sits on 2.2 acres in the heart of the Montgomery corridor, adjacent to the Silverton business district.
Area residents formed a nonprofit corporation to purchase the building and the city of Cincinnati contributed $50,000 toward the acquisition. 40 neighbors personally pledged collateral to make the acquisition possible.
The Kennedy Heights Arts Center was established by a group of area residents to create a public resource for the creation of art. One person's dream has become the inspiration of many - literally hundreds of citizens throughout Cincinnati have helped us secure this historic property.
We look forward to bringing you creative programming including after-school art classes, art camps, and "extreme art retreats". Whether you're a beginning artist or an expert, there will be something waiting for you at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center !
