Ages 5 – 12. Instructor: April Cooper.
Join us as we learn all about hand building with clay! In this 8 week class, your young artist will create pinch pots, coil pots, self-portraits in clay, cubist style faces in clay, animals, a totem pole, a castle, and two very unique boxes with lids! All works will be fired in the kiln and glazed by hand. Many joining techniques will be taught, along with rolling slabs and wedging. Returning students will get to improve on their skills with fun new projects. Be ready to be amazed at all your young potter will do in this class! Instruction will be delivered online via Zoom. Students will create artwork at home and drop off pieces at Kennedy Heights Arts Center to be fired in our kiln.
