This course will apply a foundation of knowledge, skill set and home remedy bases for the home herbalist to expand and sustain their own Home Apothecary. Introduce or reacquaint yourself with plants and their medicinal qualities to choose herbs that meet your needs. The more you understand each botanical and its properties the more versatile and useful it can be. This remote class will allow you to create a customized and useful supply of plant-based folk remedies. Projects include: Infused Vinegars for Cooking and Cleaning, Quick Soap, Herbal Infusions, Oils, Salves, Balms, Healing Decoctions, Teas, essences & honey, Simple Syrups, Tinctures and Bitters, Finishing Salts, Flower Sugar, Herbal Broth Bases, Bath Teas and Detox Soaks.
KHAC supplies an apothecary starter kit with the course fee.
Materials kits are available for contactless pick up (Wed-Fri 10am-5pm, Saturday 11-4pm) the week before to the first class.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the course.
Classes hosted via Zoom will be recorded, so all participants are asked to complete and submit a Media Release.
