Ages 5 – 12. Instructor: Tausha Cox

Learn the stories, impacts and artistic practices of contemporary artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). We will explore a wide variety of materials and techniques, and pay homage to each artist’s work by creating your own art inspired by their creative process. Artists include: Sam Gilliam, Faith Ringgold, Romare Bearden, Lorna Simpson and many more. 

KHAC supplies materials for each project with your class fee. 

Materials kits are available for contactless pick up (Wed-Fri 10am-5pm, Saturday 11-4pm) the week before to the first class

Students are responsible for supplying their own:

  • Glue Stick and glue bottle
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Crayons

$100 Tuition + $30 Materials Fee = $130

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the course.

Classes hosted via Zoom will be recorded, so all participants are asked to complete and submit a Media Release.
