This 8-week class is perfect for artists with some prior experience who want to deepen their personal exploration of watercolor. Guided by one-on-one collaboration with the instructor, students will be encouraged to find new areas of focus and discovery within this vibrant, often misunderstood medium.
We’ll cover both traditional techniques such as mixing full-color palettes from just three primary colors and understanding different types of watercolor paper and more unconventional approaches that highlight watercolor’s unique expressive possibilities.
Whether you choose to bring your own supplies or use basic materials provided by the Center, you’ll have what you need to get started. Optional, student-specific supply recommendations will be discussed during Week 1 and as needed throughout the course. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with greater confidence, creativity, and a watercolor practice that reflects your personal style.
SLIDING SCALE: Kennedy Heights Arts Center strives to make arts accessible to everyone. Sliding scale fees available for those in financial need. Click here for more information.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the program.
