Art for a Difference

  • Art for a Difference

    • Monday, January 21, 9:30am - 12:00pm
    • KHAC Lindner Annex, 6620 Montgomery Rd. (corner of Kennedy & Montgomery)

Every year, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Kennedy Heights Arts Center sponsors a special arts-based service project. This day of service encourages youth to understand why we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the benefits of volunteering your time, how to be kind to everyone, and how to use your creative talents to make a difference in the community!

Youth ages 5-14 are invited to participate – and parents can drop off and pick up, or are welcome to participate as well. The workshop will take place at KHAC’s Lindner Annex at the corner of Kennedy and Montgomery Rd. (look for the mural!).

Each year, we partner with a different non-profit to create artworks that benefit their mission.  This year we are partnering with Episcopal Retirement Services to create handmade Valentines cards to be given to older adults living in ERS homes—and bring joy into the lives of seniors.

It is FREE to participate, but registration is required. For more information, call 513-631-4278.
