Scripps Howard Marketing Internship

Kennedy Heights Arts Center is hiring a marketing/communications intern for the Fall 2020 semester. This paid internship for undergraduate juniors or seniors in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism at the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University or Miami University is supported by the Scripps Howard Foundation.
The Scripps Howard Intern will work with the KHAC’s executive director and staff to develop and implement social media and marketing strategies to increase the visibility of Kennedy Heights Arts Center and promote participation in its programs. In particular, intern will assist with marketing new Family Night At Home arts experience boxes and our online holiday art shop.
Duties will include: assistance with development and implementation of a marketing plans, creating and managing content for social media (Facebook, Instagram), development of content for our website and newsletter, and creation and distribution of marketing materials, including press releases. Student can expect a portfolio of marketing/communications materials upon completion.
Student must be organized, detail-oriented and possess exceptional writing skills. Strong computer skills and previous experiences with marketing, communications, and social media are highly desirable.
Internship period and hours:
Internship is from September to December, 2020, approximately 10-15 hours per week. In-person hours can be scheduled on Wednesdays through Saturdays between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some additional remote work possible. Occasional evening hours may be required.
$12 per hour for up to 170 hours.
