Watercolor Discovery & Development

For anyone who has wanted to try watercolor painting but has barely, or never, dipped their brush in the water, this class is for you! We’ll journey from the basics to the more advanced possibilities of this beautiful and expressive medium, discovering just how approachable and rewarding watercolor can be. Individual guidance and group projects will provide a creative roadmap for everyone to learn and enjoy the ride.

For those already familiar with the medium or the class, this class is for you to expand your watercolor experience in both traditional and unconventional ways. You’ll use your understanding of the essentials— types of watercolor paper, painting in full color using only three primaries— to explore a wide range of techniques unique to this medium. Together, we’ll also turn tradition on its head, using watercolor’s distinctive qualities to create art that reflects your personal style and sparks your creative spirit.

All supplies included and available in the art studio each week for each student.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the program.
