Ages 13 – Adult. The “Three Sisters” is a combination of three plants working together – ever heard of companion gardening? This is it! In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of the three sisters garden layout, a tried and true method of farming used by Native Americans for centuries. It’s a great way to grow many things in a small space.
We’ll discuss what plants work well together, and how trellising can enhance your usable garden space. Participants will receive bamboo stalks to create their own small bamboo teepee trellis. Just in time to start planting!
