Ages 16 – Adult. Our Partner in Education, PAR-Projects, has designed a variety of classes for entrepreneurial-minded adults, as well as community members looking to learn new marketable skill-sets. Classes will be held at KHAC Lindner Annex Digital Media Lab (unless otherwise noted).

Intro to Creative Tech – 2 Wednesdays, 6-8:30pm (March 14 & March 28). This class is designed to introduce students to the Mac computer environment, as well as few entry-level techniques in the Adobe Suite and Google Slides (presentation software).
You & Your Camera – 2 Mondays, 6-8:30pm (March 26 & April 2). This two week workshop is designed to re-introduce students to their digital cameras and to help unlock features of their smartphones. A few basics of working in a Mac computer environment will also be covered, but the primary goal is to help you become a better image-taker.
Intro to Photography & Digital Image Processing – Wednesdays for 8 weeks, 6:30-9pm (April 4 – May 23). This class is an introduction to photography and digital editing designed to explore different genres of photography (portraiture, landscape, etc), teach photography techniques, and teach basic digital image processing techniques.
Maintaining a Sketchbook Practice – Wednesdays for 8 weeks, 5:30-8pm (April 11 – May 30). This class dives into the practice of keeping a sketchbook. What is a sketchbook practice and how do I develop mine? Artists have interpreted this question for centuries; when we explore how artists from Vincent van Gogh to Guillermo del Toro have interpreted this task, we are presented with a variety of strategies.
A Hero’s Journey: Intro to Story Conception and Video Editing – Mondays for 8 Weeks, 6:30-9pm (June 4-July 23). An introduction to digital video production and storytelling. What is the cornerstone of any brand? Its story. This class will prepare you to tactfully and concisely share your brand’s identity through storytelling. We will explore different ways of approaching a story, for the purpose of promoting a brand.
Concept to Design: Integrating your Brand – Wednesdays for 8 weeks, 6-8:30pm (June 6 – August 1). You’ve worked so hard to dream up your company and/or brand name (real or fictitious). Now what?!? Over the span of eight classroom sessions, learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as you create (or edit) a logo, dream up a photographic style for your brand’s identity, and create web and print graphics to help you take your vision to the next level.
