Teen Artists for Change (TAC) is a club for diverse young artists in grades 7-12, who want to use their creative skills to make an impact in their community. TAC provides outlets for teens to work together to plan and implement creative projects that matter to them. Mentored by professional artists, teens develop skills and express their voices through community art projects such as exhibits, public art installations, and films.
TAC meets weekly on Saturdays from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, producing three projects in collaboration with professional artists throughout the year. Teens will explore and utilize various forms of art-making such as photography, video production, creative writing, drawing and painting, and digital design. We will accept new members at the beginning of each term (Fall, Winter, Spring) and require that students commit to the full term.
Giving Creatively with V+V
For the Fall 2022 session, we will be partnering with Visionaries + Voices, an inclusive arts organization dedicated to providing creative, professional, and educational opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Due to generous support from the Charles H. Dater Foundation, participation in Teen Artists for Change is offered at no cost.
