This Art Workshop Series for Kids offers diverse opportunities – from painting to fiber arts- for young artists, ages 5-8, looking for ways to continually nurture their creativity and ingenuity, while building relationships with others. This series strives to promote creative community, artistic discoveries, and sensorial connections. Participants will explore of art techniques and subjects to build a toolbox of new techniques and social connections, while learning about artists and how to discuss and express artful ideas.

 

Jan. 28: Papermaking Play, with Adoria Maxberry
Feb. 4: Hearts, Circles & Squares, inspired by artist Wassily Kandinsky, with Kim Watling
Feb. 11: Abstract with Alma inspired by the work of artist, Alma Woodsey, with Adoria Maxberry
Feb. 18: TBA with Robin Hartmann
Feb. 25: Storytelling Art, inspired by artist Faith Ringgold’s narrative quilts, with Kim Watling
March 4: Stuffed Fish, learn about tropical fish and their natural-brilliant colors and patterns, with Kim Watling
March 11: Stampede:Printmaking Fun, with Adoria Maxberry
March 18: TBA with Robin Hartmann

SLIDING SCALE: Kennedy Heights Arts Center strives to make arts accessible to everyone. Sliding scale fees available for those in financial need. Click here to download an application. Completed applications can be emailed to bethany@kennedyarts.org or dropped off in-person at KHAC.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable, but can be transferred to another course if the student withdraws at least five days prior to the beginning of the course.

All participants need to complete and submit an Emergency Contact and Photo Release. Completed forms can be emailed to bethany@kennedyarts.org or dropped off in-person at KHAC.
