Teen Artists for Change (TAC) is a student-led club for diverse young artists in grades 7-9, who want to use their creative skills to make an impact in their community. TAC provides positive outlets for teens to work together to plan and implement creative projects that matter to them. Mentored by professional artists, teens develop skills and express their voices through community art projects such as exhibits, public art installations, and films.
TAC meets weekly on Saturdays from 1:00-3:00pm, producing three projects in collaboration with professional artists throughout the year. Teens will explore and utilize various forms of art-making including photography, video production, creative writing, drawing and painting, fiber arts, and digital design. We will accept new members at the beginning of each term (Fall, Winter, Spring) and require that students commit to the full term.
Winter 2022 term: February. 26 – March 26 < SOLD OUT
Our first session of the year will be led by digital painter, Thomas Osorio. You will develop skills and express YOUR voice though creating digitally based works of art, culminating in a final showcase.
