Experience an intimate evening of music inspired by Porgy and Bess, reimagined through the lens of Cincinnati’s vibrant jazz community.

Featuring Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame vocalist Kathy Wade, May Festival chorus member and dynamic soloist Robert Lomax, the Cincinnati Jazz Academy Combo, and director Ralph DiSylvestro, this special performance brings fresh energy to beloved selections from the iconic work. Set in an up-close, intimate setting, the program offers a unique opportunity to hear these timeless songs interpreted by some of the region’s most accomplished artists.

This concert serves as a prelude to the May Festival Season Finale on May 23 at Cincinnati Music Hall, featuring Julia Bullock’s reimagined Selections from Porgy and Bess.
